Dr. Leal's broad clinical and academic background equips him with a vast knowledge of pain therapies. He completed his anesthesiology internship and residence at State University of New York Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, where he then fulfilled a one year pain medicine fellowship. Before going into private practice, Dr. Leal also served in several academic faculty positions, including Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Upstate Medical Center, Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the New Mexico School of Medicine in Albuquerque and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida in Tampa.
