Astra Hair Salon is a great experience.
Small hair salon with a welcoming neighborhood environment. Men, women, and kids too (my 12 year old daughter goes). Affordable and takes walk-ins, though make an appointment for any bigger jobs (like color). Always playing good tunes when I'm there, and MIchael the owner is great with a story. I've been going for years and very pleased with the continual results.

I have been looking for a great hair salon for along time. I recently had my hair highlighted and cut at astra and michael (salon owner) actually did it for me; wonderful job!! The salon is very small, but very cozy and artsy.

I have never walked into a salon and felt so comfortable in my life! The atmosphere is great. The staff is friendly and welcoming and ready to listen to what you want. I just recently went in and got a full foil and a great haircut. I have been having issues with dry itchy scalp from the winter and everywhere I go says," yeah it goes with living in new england." Not at astra. They had a solution for me, A scalp treatment! I had a scalp treatment done and my scalp felt wonderful. I was so relieved. I go back every week or two to have this service done and I don't have to worry about the irritating feeling of itchy scalp anymore. It was amazing! So now it gets even better. I'm done. I feel great! I look great! I go to the register to pay and I cannot believe my ears when they tell me the total for my services. Astra salon gives you a very warm, professional experience with an amazing price. I wouldn't go anywhere else. Thanks michael and nicole!!!!!!!!!"

Great funky little salon.....From A to Z
This place is great....Why go to Newbury St. Or the Back Bay...and pay a fortune when you go to Astra get great color and a cut for half the money this is a funky friendly little joint....Love it...Worldwide > United States > Boston, MA > Beauty Salons and Services
