Decent food
Choices weren't bad. Staff can't speak English well, so you better hope you don't have to ask for them to change anything. Meat dishes don't come with too much meat. Flavors are good, staff is nice, but difficult to communicate with.Just fantastic
I would say that Aneka Rasa is by far the BEST Malaysian restaurant. The food has a lot of flavor and is very creative. It truly brings Malaysian cuisine to Boston. If you are a seafood fan, you should surely try the crab. Aneka Rasa prepares it in different ways and the flavors just burst in your mouth. The seafood is always fresh.Meh
This restaurant served overpriced (but pretty) versions of cheap Malaysian food that I imagine I can find in Penang for 1/3 the price. The dishes were beautifully decorated, given fancier names than you would find for half the price for Kung Pao Chicken at a regular Chinese take-out restaurant. For Malaysian food, I'm sure that this is not authentic.Best Char Kueh Teow noodles
Fairly pleasant place for good Malaysian Meals that are not necessarily in-expensive when compared to similar meals in Penang,Kuala Lumpur,Ipoh or Singapore. You don't need to fly out to get your food satisfaction at Flight Ticket costs! tHERE IS A NEED FOR GOOD MALAYSIAN DESSERTS like Pandan Cakes,i.e Pandan layered cake__Kueh Talam,Barley,Gingko Nut & Bean Curd Broth[Soup] baked Tapoica cake __Bengka Ubi, tapoica Layered Cake___kueh Talam Ubi, stuffed Glutinous Rice Balls__Onde-Onde, rice and custard layers_Serimuka, Glutinuous Rice Cakes with Coconut Jam___Pulut Tekan, Coconut Pancakes___Kueh Dadar,Durian cake, Steamed Layered Cake ___Kueh Lapis, Sago Pudding with Palm Sugar[brown sugar] Palm sugar and Coconut Milk Jelly,Pandan Jelly, Bread Pudding with coconut milk flavoring! the food at aneka is fresh an creative. there's pleny of room here to bring along a big group of friends, and if you're doing takeout you can run across the street to either blanchard's or marty's and grab a bottle of wine. i recommend the mango chicken - it comes in a mango skin shell with big slices of mango throughout - so yummy!!Worldwide > United States > Allston, Boston, MA > Restaurants
