An update: I pulled my children out of the daycare. Beware because it is not easy to do so. You are bound by a contract that allots them 2 weeks of tuition if you decide to terminate your contract. This means you have to pay whether your child attends or not, and there is nothing in the contract that stipulates liability based on who is at fault. The daycare is very unaccomodating. You still have to pay full price tuition even if your child became ill, and needs a doctor note as a result of an illness they contracted from the daycare. To me, this is extremely unfair. Did I mention that the staff is unprofessional and rude? Avoid!

This daycare/preschool is horrible. For one, the staff and owners of ALC are rude, ignorant, and unprofessional. They don't greet parents who enter the building, and the director frequently ignores parents who come to pick up the children. The staff talk down to parents like they know more than you, it is not a collaborative effort to help educate and monitor the growth and progress of your child/ren. Some staff members actually hit kids when it is against the law to do so. I actually witnessed a "teacher" hitting one of the kids, and told the director immediately. When I reported this behavior to the director she did not get rid of the staff member I reported. I asked if other parents had the same issue with other teachers, she stated no, which I don't believe. This center is unaccomodating if you don't want your small children going on field trips (which is reasonable considering the classes tend to have 20 children with 2 teachers). The center NEVER feeds the kids organic foods, and frequently gives the children candy (even the infants). It's supposed to be a mutually beneficial relationship, however the director and staff come off like they are doing YOU a favor. At the end of the day they are being paid ($$$) which is their profession, and supposed to be "calling" because they are dealing with small children (and bigger kids for the after school program) so no one should ever feel like they are "at the mercy" of anyone who they are doing business with. AVOID!!!
