do NOT use Dr Lommer if you value the life of your animal!! 4 years ago my amazing std poodle MOJO died after a 1st botched surgery and then a 2nd unauthorized surgery 5 days later (i had brought him into madera animal hospital for fluids, because after the first surgery he would not eat or drink and was dehydrated, i was home all day calling and waiting and then was told Dr L had gone in and taken out another big section of MOJO's jaw and all his bottom teeth) - all surgery has risks but rarely will anyone tell you before they operate that your beloved animal will die from bad aftercare - Dr Lommer did not prescribe antibiotics after the first surgery altho i asked for them, after the second surgery (some stitches had come undone and he developed an infection) he did get antibiotics but 2 days later collapsed at home - i called Drs Lommer, Kallet, Jones and Dippe (madera pet hospital) for help and was told that someone would come over to the house later in the afternoon but that i should leave him alone, that he was just tired from the 2 surgeries - so i sat with him - when the assistant from the vet came over he had a high fever and we rushed him to the ER - MOJO was septic and the ER vet said that the kindest thing i could do was to "let him go" so my very best friend who had been eating, running, laughing actually and enjoying life the day before his surgery was "put down" on a metal gurney in an ER exactly 1 week after his 1st surgery - Dr Lommer had the nerve to chew out the ER dr altho she was not available to speak with her when we got to the ER (this after she told me on the phone that MOJO was fine, just needed some antibiotics and we should go to the ER) and to write me up as an emotional client who wanted to put her animal down - after getting all the paperwork it became clear that in the 1 week from 1st surgery to death MOJO had been given 4 morphine patches which in themselves could have depressed his breathing - the fault is mine, i trusted these drs, but they are not worthy of anyones trust - take your animals elsewhere, please -i clicked one star because you had to click something but this company deserves MINUS 5 stars
