Insensitive Staff for Pre-K program
My daughter attended this school for several months after I transferred her there from La Petite Academy. The school's setup appealed to me along with the proximity to my home. The staff appeared courteous and supportive in the begining. Over time i began to see a change in my daughter, she started talking back to me and acting out in suspicious manners. The school informed me that she was too affectionate but they never gave me any negative feedback on my childs behaviors in school. Four months after attending the school, my daughter was reported to DHS for abuse. The school never saw any physical signs of abuse nor did they EVER speak to me about any concerns they may have had. They merely contacted DHS, initiated an action against my family and embroiled us in a nightmare that no family should undergo unless they ARE abusing their children. I was shocked and waited for an apology and none was forthcoming. I would NOT recommend this school if you have older children. Your children will come into contact with people from backgrounds that may be encouraging your child to act out and therefore put you and your family at risk of an abuse case with DHS. The school does not support the parents...they focus on the antics of the child. I assume most of the people who go there are from low income families and the school assumes they are more likely to abuse their children.
