Don't do business with Aasent!
After working with Aasent Mortgage Co. for over two months (May 19, 2010-July 11 2010)in an attempt to refinance my mortgage with the company, Aasent never completed the refinance and refuses to return my phone calls or e-mails. At the behest of Senior Mortgage Banker Jonathan Hugger, NMLS# 165296, I paid $350 to AppraiserLoft, a third-party appraiser chosen by Aasent, to have my home appraised on June 22. After paying $350 for the appraisal and submitting multiple personal documents and loan applications to Mr. Hugger, he simply said on June 29 that Aasent was going out of business and that he was not longer working there. I tried to contact other Aasent employees, but have been unsuccessful. Now, I'm left with a worthless appraisal that cost me $350, which I purchased because Aasent said that I needed it to complete the refinance, yet the company won't even return my calls or e-mails.
