My husband and I got married a month ago and we just want to thank Primo Events for their outstanding service!! If there's anything that I love most about this businesses, is the personal customer service. Most venue’s we contacted before choosing them did not provide the level of personal contact that we wanted. Then we found Primo Events. These people are so professional in the way they communicated with us in the beginning, all the way to executing the day of! They provided the perfect venue, catering (Chef Elsa), DJ (Jose), photography (Shawn Femia & Sarah Reese), the officiant (Mr. Harold McGee), bar staff (I didn’t catch their names but they were so much fun!), and coordinated all our event rentals from ceremony décor to reception. They also allowed us enough elbow room to be creative and include our personal touches while guiding us with their knowledge. I loved how they gently but respectfully advised us against some bad ideas we had and I thank them for that (for example I initially wanted assigned seating during the ceremony, they advised that this would result in long seating time for our guests and some guests may be offended that their seat was in the back) Then there are also the times that we challenged them, like getting us a Violinist for the ceremony with just three days notice On the day of the wedding, everything happened like clockwork. I didn't have to manage anything because our onsite coordinator (Elizabeth) planner had it all lined up. There were some major coordination that needed to happened since it was an outdoor ceremony on the beach, ... EVERYBODY that attended the wedding enjoyed themselves and could not stop talking about how well it flowed. "It's because we had Ron and his incredible staff, so totally worth it!" Ron and his entire team were wonderful from start to finish! My fiancé and I knew we wanted a beach theme wedding, because we live in Iowa we also knew we would have to plan a destination wedding. We were so frustrated at first because it was taking forever for vendors to get back to us with pricing/packages etc. Finally we found Virginia Weddings by Primo Events and were so relieved to finally find people that were so helpful and quick with responses. They not only helped us, they also answered questions and helped our out of town guests with everything from directions, hotels, restaurants, hair & make-up, the list goes on! We had our ceremony on the beach, they provided chairs, bamboo arch, flowers, and the officiant. The reception was just a few steps away from the beach in the Pierside room. This was perfect for everyone, because there was no driving involved from ceremony to reception. For the reception they provided chair covers, sashes, linens, napkins (all in my wedding colors, guava and teal). DJ, photographer, and all day onsite coordinator. The only thing I wish I could change about my wedding would to have my brother present. He couldn't make it because his wife and an unexpected health issue. However, Ron worked with the DJ and surprised me with a big screen and patched my brother in for his speech. My mom and I both cried during the entire speech. That was just so thoughtful!!! It didn't effect the ceremony at all, but we were disappointed that we couldn't have photo hour out on the beach... The photographer said if we were up to it she would come back the next day to do our beach shots. She did, and we got our amazing beach photos... She didn't even charge us for her time! This company helped my husband and I with our dream beach wedding in Sandbridge Virginia Beach. Before my mom found them we were having a horrible time trying to put together necessary vendors. They provided chairs, tables, linens, catering, photography, and officiant for the ceremony. Jim and I are so grateful for all that they did for us! 5 stars simply isn't enough to express how kind and professional they were!
I just had my dream Halloween theme wedding this past Saturday at the oceanfront in Virginia Beach, VA and must say that Primo Events and their team were over the top incredible! Myself, my husband and our guests were all from out of town and they helped us with every detail. This was very difficult for me as I am a hands on person, but always wanted a view of the ocean during my wedding and coming from Missouri it was impossible for me to be present during the planning process. I was initially open to any beach, I checked out the Gulf Coast, Florida, California, Myrtle Beach etc. etc but Primo Events was the only company that treated me as an individual & not just a number or opportunity to make $$$. They were also the only company that was quick to respond and gave me a bottom line price guarantee with no hidden charges or surprise fee's & add-on's. I chose to keep the food simple and had mesquite grilled chicken, beef brisket , & mash potato bar & garden salad. For the cake, I went with assorted cupcake tower with traditional cake topper and incorporated my Halloween theme with little skulls, ghosts & pumpkins on the cupcakes. Rather than flowers for centerpieces I chose pumpkin towers with lighted branches around them. I did go with fall flowers for the bouquet & boutonniere. The linens I chose were Purple & orange, and I also incorporated these colors in the uplighting around the room. I chose the package that included hair and make-up on site and this was truly a blessing, it was so nice to relax on my wedding day and have a professional come to me! All these services and more were provided P.E., and I can't think of a single thing I would change! Thank you is not enough to express how wonderful they made the most important day of my life!
We had the most amazing wedding venue thanks to primo events and the wonderful staff! Virginia beach is one of the most beautiful settings anyone could have their wedding at. The second we walked into the Pierside venue we knew this was the place to get married at. The room has insane views of the ocean and the club style bar is really cool. Our wedding was originally planned at the Jersey shore but our venue was completely destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. We had decided to get married down south due to the weather issues in NJ. My cousin got married in va beach 3 years back and had referred us to primo events who did her wedding. We had a short period of time where we did not know if we would be able to have our wedding at all. This company helped us last minute and gave us the best wedding ever!!!. I can't tell you how many guests told us that our wedding was one of the nicest weddings they had ever been to. Many guests commented on how attentive the catering staff were and the fun bartenders. My wedding was this past weekend and other than the weather, I had the most wonderful day full of tears of joy and love... here are my reviews: Venue, Catering, DJ, Photography, Officiant, & Decor provided by Primo Events. The venue was the Majestic Ballroom... most of my guests were from Ohio so being on the ocean was a must! This was difficult to find at first as my budget was right at $10,000 for everything, but Primo Events and their team made it work. The food was delicious, I had an international fruit & cheese creation table with shrimp cocktail and lumpia butler passed, for dinner chicken with mango salsa & steak with a mashed potato bar and veggies. My favorite part of the catering team was that they put together a nice tray of the appetizers and brought them to us during photo hour so we didn't miss out! Also, the banquet captain was there for me during the cake cutting with a warm damp cloth to clean off the cake my husband generously smasked on my face (no worries, I got him back). The DJ rocked it!!! My wedding was on Sunday and I was worried that my guests would leave early, but he got everyone going and not a single person left until the end :) My officiant was so genuine, he made everyone laugh & cry. Decor ~ I had tiffany blue and mango colors which I incorporated in my linens and uplighting. I thought a nice unexpected touch was that they even put the lighting behind the bar, this really set the mood for all of us!! Cake: I didn't have a traditional cake, instead I chose a Venetian table with an array of delicious desserts, chocolates. In the center I had the traditional Cake top tier which we used for cake cutting. Flowers: My mom is a florist, need I say more :) My photographer did a wonderful job and has already provide me with photos for e-sharing. I love them! Dress: On my tight budget, David's Bridal... It was a one shoulder sleeveless mermaid style, white, with crystals & feather on the left shoulder & crystals & feathers on my right hip. Shoes: Splurge! Tiffany blue Jimmy Choo all the way! I just returned from my honeymoon and wanted to follow-up from my March 9th wedding... I have to say that this company and their staff were wonderful! Ron greated each of my guests and did a great job coordinating!!! My photographer Shawn has already sent me over 60 pics to share (love them!) :). The food was amazing & I thought it was a nice touch that they butler passed the cake! My husband and I got a little crazy smashing cake in each other's faces and out of nowhere the Chef appeared with a damp cloth and helped us clean up, that was so sweet & thoughtful. All my guests raved about the food! Great job guys! Love you Marco (our Matre D), thanks for running out to get safety pins when Lisa's (my bridesmaid) dress malfunctioned...you were wonderful!
I hired PrimoEvents over a year ago for my March 9th 2013 wedding (this Saturday!!!). I have to say that they have been extremely attentative, kind, and helpful. My assigned planner is Marco and he has been amazing!!! He's flamboyant and so much fun, he came along with me and my bridesmaids to our hair & make-up trial run... we had so much fun that we took him along with us for my bachelorette party last weekend. My DJ is DJ Nash, and she has been incredibly professional and on point at every meeting. My photographer is Shawn; no worries there she did my cousin's wedding two years ago and the photos are amazing. I went to their warehouse to select linens, chair covers, sashes, china, flatware etc. etc and this was a wonderful experience as I got to see exactly what my guest tables will look like. Joann and Michelle were so great at guiding me with fabrics, napkins, etc. My experience so far has bee wonderful! I will update next week after the wedding, hopefully everything will run as smoothly as my planning process :)
Primo Events is the very BEST wedding event company in Virginia! They hosted my wedding last Saturday and they worked incredibly hard to make that day the most memorable and drama free. From the moment my guests arrived they were greeted by a wonderful staff and met every one of our needs. Their Maitre'D, Marco is a genuine kind person who works hand in hand to answer any questions and fulfill any wish concerning your wedding day. He answers your emails immediately and is so flexible with allowing you to make your wedding day be all about who you are! We went with the Epic package which included our own personal wedding attendant, this was a true blessing and really made my husband and I feel like celebrities. She is on call almost all the time even using her personal cell phone to reach you as soon as you need to speak to her. She understands the stress of planning a wedding and is extremely sincere with pricing and always puts the customers benefit above all. I would have given them 5 stars, but I didn't realize until two days prior that the hotel didn't provide shuttle service. Other than that little glitch, my husband and I were treated with the utmost respect and consideration, which in the business world is of much value. If you are looking for a wedding venue at the beach that makes the planning process easy and truly enjoyable Primo Events and their staff is the way to go!
My company recently completed our 4th annual International Sales meeting in Virginia Beach. We are based out of Charlotte NC and found it necessary to use an Event Company as we do not have an office in the Hampton Roads area. I have used Primo Events for the past 4 years and could not be more pleased! They handled everything from from flight arrangements, hotel rooms, catering, projection screen with onsite IT support, presentation manuals, name tags, group dinner parties, childcare the list goes on & on. My main contact is Shawn Femia who has consistantly done an amazing job for us every year! I would highly recommend them to collegues, business associates, friends and family for any event.
I was a guest at the USS Gravely 2012 holiday party and this company and staff put on the most awesome party that I have ever attended. Every team member goes out of their way to assist you in having a wonderful time. The centerpieces were large white poinsettias with a perfect dusting of glitter. The appetizer creation table was filled with too many treats to list and the butler passed hor dourves were amazing. The dinner was a buffet and all the food was wonderful and the perfect temperature which couldn't have been easy as I think there was over 300 people in attendance. They also had an assortment of butler passed desserts which was a nice touch having the dessert come to you :) I just got engaged on New Year's Eve and have decided to use them for my beach wedding ceremony and reception, happy that I could experience their work first hand! I would recommend them to family, friends, and business associates, you cannot beat the overall experience!
AMAZING! Every part of the process was meticulously and professionally handled. The event was PERFECT and I could not have chosen a more beautiful venue, with delicious food and plenty of room for all my 120 guests. I could not have been more pleased with Primo Events. I worked with Ron Form and Christine Anderson (one of their site coordinators) and she was there every step of the way during my 2 year engagement. The location choices they offered are beautiful. The ease of working with them is so helpful for a stress free wedding and most of all every single one of our guests loved it! My husband and I researched several venues in the area and as soon as we contacted Primo Events, we knew they were the perfect fit. This was exactly what I was looking for - We chose the Majestic Ballroom that had a stage for our large bridal table. The Beach which was steps away was beautiful for the ceremony and I loved having the ceremony and reception all in one location. We had quite a few guests from out of town and it just made it so simple. The wedding had the perfect flow from ceremony, to cocktail hour to the reception. Ron was there for the entire ceremony and wedding reception. He was awesome and made the day completely stress free. Christine also assisted and made sure everyone knew where they were supposed to be and when throughout the entire day. The food was awesome - we still get a lot of comments about how good our food was. I would highly recommend this company!
Hi everyone! So my wedding was this past Saturday (barely got it in before the storm!) in Virginia Beach, VA. I have to say that it was absolutely the most incredible, perfect day of my whole life. I couldn't stop smiling all day, and haven't stopped since it ended! All of our vendors were just incredible, and I can't praise them all highly enough. Primo Events and their team were over the top incredible. I know for each category they have a few vendors to choose from, so I thought I’d let everyone know my experience with each of them. Everyone partied until midnight, and we got so many compliments that it was the best wedding people had ever been to, which made me feel so good! OK, here are my reviews of our vendors: The Dolphin Room & Catering (venue): I can't speak highly enough of this place as a gorgeous spot to have an elegant oceanfront wedding. I opted to splurge on the Chivalry Ballroom chairs which added sooo much to the ambiance. The food was just incredible. People told me the steak just melted in your mouth, and the fish was so good. Also, my coordinator, Ron, just blew my mind. He kept things running very smoothly from the rehearsal through the end of the reception, and was totally unfazed by any of my crazy requests. He also made himself available throughout the year whenever I wanted to meet, which I really appreciated. Grade:A DJ Chuck (music): I can't say enough great things about Chuck. I loved all my vendors, but Chuck really went above and beyond for us. He ran a perfect show for the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception. He truly has a “Can Do” attitude and was early for every meeting, and was just all around great to work with. Grade: A+ Florist: Jenna did our flowers, and they were gorgeous. We had a very specific idea of what we wanted, since we were doing an Alice in Wonderland theme, and they really ran with it. Each centerpiece was unique. She filled some teacups that my mom and I stacked together with roses, mosses and succulents, and each one looked like a work of art. She was also willing to work with our budget, which was awesome! Grade: A Shawn Femia Photography: Shawn is an incredibly gifted photographer. From our engagement shoot at the Botanical Gardens in Norfolk, to the day of the wedding, she really rocked it for us. We haven't gotten the full set of photos back yet, but she has already posted a blog with about 65 photos that look incredible. She and her assistant, Elizabeth, stayed with us ALL day, and I never felt rushed, and hardly even noticed them during the reception. Grade: A+ Sorry for the long post everyone. I had my dream beach wedding on October 12, 2012 hosted by Primo Events. They did an amazing job, I truly had the perfect day. Everything from their caterer, DJ, photographer, florist, hair make-up artist, and officiant was perfect! Below I've rated a few of the vendors provided... Let's Eat Gourmet Catering A+++ What else can I say that hasn't already been said? The food was better than I could imagined, the service and presentation was amazing...well every restaurant should strive to have that kind of service! Officiant & ceremony: A+ Couldn't have been more perfect. There were only 50 people total at my wedding so the small inimate ceremony chapel Primo Events provided was just right. Our minister, who had a fabulous french accent, made the ceremony special. He added a bit of humor, some romance, and a some special Biblical quotes that make it traditional. It was everything I wanted. The photographer was so friendly and honestly, we didn't even know she was there until after the ceremony. Hair & Make-up by Callie: I can't say enough about how wonderful Callie and her team were! I pretty much gave them all the freedom to do what they thought was best for my hair and makeup. All I said is I wanted my hair up with my veil under my hair and my eyes to be the focus. I splurged on the airbrush (which if you have oily skin like I do, its the only way to go) and fake eye lashes. Worth every cent. When I saw the end result, I cried! Callie had to fix my makeup. I have never EVER felt so beautiful in my life. My FI was speechless when he saw me. The customer service and communication was outstanding and I would suggest them to anyone! Accomodations: The hotel was better than I expected considering the rate we got for it. The beds were very comfortable, full sized pillows (which is becoming harder to find in hotels!), fresh sheets every day, fridge in the room, plenty of space and updated decor. I really couldn't find a flaw in the hotel room, except no microwave or coffee pot. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly. Whenever we had questions on where to go, or for them to recommend a show/place to eat, they had great suggestions.
This company if I'm not mistaken is or was called Primo Events. I strongly suggest that anyone who is thinking about doing business with them DOESN'T!!! I found RON FORM online and met with him multiple times, each time he explained to me he would be the middle man between vendors and would set everything up from the DJ , to the flowers to the Photography ( which was his wife and not very good) . After he showed us multiple locations which were horrible and not what we requested i went online and sent him some suggestions of the type of venue i wanted. When it came time to make a deposit, he insisted i make a 5k deposit for him and all his vendors... non of which i had met with expect the person i was renting linens and decor from. I asked him several times for a fee break down for each vendor and what exactly i was paying for and each time he avoided the question or insisted he would send it to me. Eventually i got a price break down which seemed very high and a little crazy for me to pay since i had not met with the photographer or the dj or didn't pick flowers>?>? HOw could i pay for something i had not seen? Long Story short when my fiancé and I went to have the final meeting and discuss numbers regarding catering staff he got very defensive and told me to call the venues myself and see if i could find better rates. So I did, and i found he was over charging me for catering staff by 3k, that he had put on of the venue contracts under HIS name and was having it mailed to him. I quickly instructed them to send it to me and no longer discuss my wedding plans with him. I shortly got very childish and unprofessional texts calling my fiancé cheap, and saying that he was gonna call all the vendors in the area and tell them not to work with me..... In the long run I'm glad this happened before i signed the contract which by the way says that if for any reason you have to cancel you MUST STILL PAY all the fee's! It also says that under no circumstance will he disclose the vendor prices.. They are doing very bad business, please be aware!!
this company ripped me off big time. ron form and femia what ever her name is (crazy Bitch) stole $8000 from me for a wedding they never gave me. I took them to court twicw and beat them twice.the judge rulled in my favor both times. i was awarded $8000 but these crooks refuse to pay anything. they are low down crooks in my opinion. they block my calls and wont talk to me. so its back to court for the third time to make them pay me my money which destroyed my daughters wedding. these people should be run out of town in my opionion
