A Creole House
I stayed here for a week in January 2007 and had a wonderful stay. My room was great, lots of natural light and very comfortable. WIFI was easy to access, which was important for me b/c I was traveling for work. Sherrie, the hostess, prepared an amazing breakfast each morning. Lots of restaurants nearby - especially liked Mr. John's Steakhouse. I would highly recommend staying here!

Shocked
Although the staff was very friendly, it did not compensate for the shock I received upon seeing our room. The furniture was fine, but the walls were cracked and peeling, the lineoleum in the bathroom was coming up, and the carpet!!! I don't know if it had ever been vacuumed. I would not walk barefoot for fear my feet would stick to it. It did not even go all the way to the doorway going outside. There was mold and dirt on windowsills.We stayed in the annex which is across the street from the main hotel. I was told over the phone that this room was nicer than one in the main hotel. I can only imagine what kind of shape they are in. I definitely would NOT even think about staying here again for any price

We were disappointed in our first stay in the French Quarter at this establishment. The staff was friendly, however the quality of the room left much to be desired. Understandably, we expected an old building, however, not old amenities such as the linens, and sagging mattress.We have since stayed at other locations throughout the Quarter, and are pleased to find that this establishment was the exception rather then the norm.Worldwide > United States > New Orleans, LA > Hotels
