Excellent Care
Went here when my dog had to have an emergency C section. She was well cared for and the staff was extrememly friendly with her. She had a few complications and I was terribly nervous about loosing her, but thankfully she pulled thru and she couldn't have done so good w/out the care of the staff!

Best care anywhere
I have been a client since 2003. All of my animals have been treated for anything from hip displacia to just a plain check up to ruptured anal glands. They do it all and are gracious with even just advice on the phone. Our cat furball had ruptured anal glands and they saw her that day it happened without an appointment. Best care we ever got from an animal hospital!!!

awesome service
I had to take my puppy, who was having seizures, in for an emergency visit at Southlake Animal Clinic. Although she did not make it, Dr. Rodriguez stayed with her late into the night, doing everything possible to help her, and insure that she wasn't alone.

The best vet ever!
I have been taking my pets to Dr. rodriguez for ten years now. He is the most wonderful vet. He really cares about your pet and the takes time to help. He and his staff are kind and honest. They have been there for me in the good times and the unfortunate times of a pets death. No matter the case Dr. Rodriguez is always able to assist in your pets well being.

Dr. Rod and staff
Due to moving I have had several vets in my life. This if by far the best vet office I have ever had. When I first moved to Clermont, my cat got his first urinary tract infection. I call another vet office in Clermont and they couldn't see my cat for a few days. For cats, a urinary tract infection can be deadly if not treated immediately. I called Dr. Rod's office and they were able to get me in immediately. They are wonderful and he is the most personable, knowledgeable vet I have ever had. He researches things for your pets health and explains everything. They also return calls right away. I love this place and I trust my pet's health to Dr. Rod and his staff. Thank you.

cost effective
I have been in Clermont for 2 years now and tried 4 different vets, this one is the least expensive. That might not be a big deal to some people, but when you have quite a few pets, it is a very big deal! It allows us to give our babies the quality vet care they deserve. Thanks SLAC!

We wont be going back
The doctor displayed a poor bed side manner...Her staff was good, however cross contamination of cats, dogs was evident... An assistant brought a blood culture from another animal in the exam room where we were being seen with our dog....No one wore gloves.......Not a place I will recommend......Prices??????Doesn't matter if you get good quality care.......The doctor and her personality was lacking......My suggestion is for her to buy some people skills.......Go back to school and learn your craft again...

I couldn't agree 100%. about your post.. The staff was good, however cross contamination of cats, dogs was evident. Dr. jumping from room to room , no gloves and If you love your dog. Look for a Vet who has time to see your dog only and not jumping from room to room. I told the Dr's wife very kindly about my concerns and she said to me "We have plenty of happy customers, if you don't like us find someone else"! So I did , and I'm so HAPPY I DID :O)

Most Compassionate Vet Ever!
I backed into this review by just looking up Dr Rod's address, and had to add my positive input. I have used this facility for 25 yrs, for all my pet needs. Of greatest importance was Dr Rods discovering that my free American Bulldog had a severe heart defect. He immediately ordered an Echo, and 10yrs ago sent me to the best cardiac Vet available- none in Florida at that time, so we went to NC State University Vet School. I was told my dog should have lived 6months, but thru the excellant care of Dr Keene of NC State, and follow-up of dr Rod (and 3 stents in his heart and ballooning of his pulmonic valve), my dog is now 10 yrs old. He has been a nationally registered therapy dog, and a wonderful companion to my inlaws as they reached their 80's. Without Dr Rods quick diagnosis 10 yrs ago , my dog wouldve died shortly after i got him. Dr Rod continues to treat him as a very special patient, but then he has always done that for all my animals. I have a degree in Nrsg, so medically I know good care when I see ii. The price of taking care of your pet has increase over the 40 yrs of my being an adult, but his prices are in line with Vets in the area, a necessary expence for keeping your family member healthy.Worldwide > United States > Clermont, FL > Veterinarians
