About Dr. Poliakoff

Steven R. Poliakoff, MD, has been practicing gynecology, gynecologic oncology, and urogynecology in South Florida for nearly 30 years. At his Miami practice, with locations in South Miami and Miami Beach, Florida, Dr. Poliakoff offers his patients from the United States and around the world a variety of state-of-the-art, customized treatments to manage gynecologic issues.
He is renowned for his diagnostic and surgical expertise and is affiliated with a long roster of the world’s top professional and medical organizations. To provide his patients with the most cutting-edge treatments, Dr. Poliakoff offers personalized precision medicine based on family history and genetic testing. He also offers stem cell therapy and aesthetic treatments for women using the most advanced gynecologic tools.
In addition to being a gynecologist, Dr. Poliakoff is also a cancer specialist and is the Executive Medical Director of The Women’s Cancer Research Foundation.
After earning his bachelor of science from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and his medical degree from the University of North Carolina, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Dr. Poliakoff completed his internship, residency, and fellowship at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He completed an additional fellowship at the University of Miami, where he also served as an instructor and assistant professor in their division of gynecologic oncology. In addition to his extensive scientific and medical education, he earned an MBA at the University of Miami Business School.
Dr. Poliakoff has a strong empathy for the needy members of society, having been the director of the lecture series “Perspectives on Poverty” and the director and host of The New York City Conference on Poverty, which inspired him to form The Women’s Cancer Research Foundation.
