Cajun at its best
I never had the opportunity to eat cajun food before and I love it. Pappadeaux is loud and very busy which I like. We started with the fondeaux which was the best I ever had. I ended up getting the shrimp po boy and had to box it because...A taste of The bayou...
The food is fantastic as well as the portions. I first sampled their cuisine in Houston, TX along with the other "Pappa's" restraunts. I was thoroughly intoxicated with the quality. When they located here in my home town, I was ecstatic!! The wait has been worth it and I am so happy to recommend this one of a kind eatery.Best Fondue Ever
Caution: I would not highly recommend this place if it wasn't for one dish: the seafood "fondeaux." It's an expensive place, and the food itself is not really worth it unless you get the fondeaux. If you do, then you will be totally happy with the place and keep coming back. It's a Cajun place that serves, alligator, crawfish, and other foods from the bayou so it is fun if you're looking to try something different. The service and atmosphere are top notch. It really is a great place, but the food can be mediocre and it is quite expensive. Usually very busy. Like I said, fondeaux is out of this world good so go and try it.Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen- Best Gulf Coast fare in the Midwest !!!!
I live in Dayton, Ohio, now, but lived in Baton Rouge, LA, few the last couple of years. While living in Louisiana, my wife and I gained a great appreciation for the excellent food found in the entire state. I am also a forty year veteran of the Hospitality business. Having visited Pappadeaux's in the Cincinnati area several times, we have found the food excellent, the service the best in the Dayton/Cincinnati area and the menu selection beyond comparison. We strongly reccommend Pappadeaux's to any one that loves great food and service. The pricing is very reasonable for the quality experience you will enjoy. We will go back
Last night my wife and I ate at the Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen in celebration of our 25th wedding anniversary. Our server was friendly and competent. The food was great. As an appetizer we had the "Blackened Oyster & Shrimp Fondeaux ". This was fantastic. For an entree I had the "Crawfish Etouffee with dirty rice" and my wife had the "Grilled Mahi Mahi". Excellent! This was the first time I ever had crawfish. The first bite caught my attention with the Cajun seasonings, but then it was nothing but dining pleasure with this truly delicious dish. For desert I would recommend the "Sweet Potato Pecan Pie with ice cream". My, oh my, was that good! I spent a ton of money last night, but it was worth it!A Great Seafood Resterant
I had a great time when I went. The service is fast and the staff is very friendly. The portions of fish were not huge but were substantially bigger than most of the specialty seafood places around here. The fish was flakey and fresh. The varieites of ways it can be prepaired will keep me coming back as well as the quality (my current favorite is the Salmon Yvette). I loved their cheese grits as well, a down home favorite i don't find many places. Their appetizer menus is great The Blackened Shrimp and Crawfish Foneaux is amasing. My boyfriend loved their Fried Calamari. I would definately recommend this resteraunt to seafood lovers. The quality and selection of deserts was great too.great outdoor dining
On a great weather day, we knew we had to go to Pappadeaux's for lunch. The outdoor patio ambiance is great. Great fountains, cajun music, even ceiling fans & light garlands. I don't know of any better outdoor dining in this entire metroplex. The food is excellent, tho' pricey for us, we still splurge once in a while to enjoy this restaurant. It is not busy on Sunday afternoons like most other restaurants, which is great for people like us going after church. I recommend it to everybody!good food, bad prices
The food is always good, but the prices have increased greatly over the past couple years. On the last visit my wife and I got 2 entrees, 1 appetizer and 2 drinks. We spent about a $100 with the tip. Ouch!Average seafood but not bad
You get what you'd expect from a seafood chain. But better than Red Lobster.Worldwide > United States > Cincinnati, OH > Seafood Restaurants
