Don't do it
I tried getting a cheap bike for the kid, epic fail. Employees were cocky and rude. Asked to speak to a manager, what a mistake.

Left feeling less confident than when I came in. thought i knew what i was looking for, but was tossed around and given confusing information. who knew buying a more comfortable seat would be so hard.bad service.

This is an amazing shop. I have been coming here since I was a child and have always received the highest quality of customer service. I was unhappy to see some bad reviews! The people that work at this shop are themselves all cyclists...

Much better bike shops in area these days
Better off with Tacoma Bike or even REI. Better pricing and better policies and better service guaranteed. Gave Old Town my name and number three times and was repeatedly forgotten. Makes me feel awful about the shop and about myself....
