mikes discount is a store run by a racist manager who enjoys yelling at school kids acusing them of stealing when it is not true. the food there is expired on the shelves and they do not do not do anything about it when notified.

nice neighborhood grocery store.friendly ladies working the checkouts. most items at below chain supermarket prices. sometimes you need to check the produce and milk department items .i have twice in the last year bought milk and cottage cheese at least a week before the expiration date and found them to be turned sour. maybe they have their temperature setting too low.

I love Mike's
This is great place to go for quick items, I know the owner and he is a cool guy, and there is always a pretty female with a smile waiting to check you grocery's out of there. There usually is not a lot of people there either so it is a great place to go. And yes they have a great meat dept, you can get pirter house steaks for like 6 bucks never have seen that in my life and the meat is great and tender.

Although it's true there is no lack of personable and attractive girls ringing up your items, their overall knowledge of available stock is quite commendable. The deli case, (cheese, sausage, butter and sliced meats,) are a bit pricey, but Mike's is one of few grocers who carry large cans of tomato juice. The selection of produce is rather lean, but what they have is priced competitively. I'm on my way there now.

Because I ride a motorcycle sometimes, a backpack is a must have. I run a business within 100 yards of the store. I look my age of 45. The store wouldn't allow me in the premises with my backpack in spite of the fact that women are allowed to bring in purses. When I asked for contact info for owner the cashier was very unpleasant, unhelpful, and downright snotty. My business and I are taking our approximately $300 per month of business to Walmart, Bel Air, and Safeway. Would definitely not recommend.
