ALWAYS great
Fantastic place for breakfast or lunch. Baked goods have always been spot-on. Best desserts are the lemon rosemary cakes and the almond bars. It's been really crowded the last couple of times I've stopped in...not sure how I feel about...Best kept secret in L.A.
Seriously...I'm astonished that this place isn't standing room only. I live 2 blocks away and would frequent the business that was here before the Village just because it was within walking distance. I was thrilled to see the place had...ALWAYS great
Fantastic place for breakfast or lunch. Baked goods have always been spot-on. Best desserts are the lemon rosemary cakes and the almond bars. It's been really crowded the last couple of times I've stopped in...not sure how I feel about that! I kinda liked it when it was my secret place but it's good (for them) that the secret seems to be getting out. I've recommended this place to several friends and they've all had the same great experience that I have, so I feel pretty confident that you won't be dissapointed. One last thing: the sourdough bread? Best in town, hands down.Great Bread, Good pastries
I have eaten here twice for lunch and have repeatedly bought loaves of bread and pastries from this bakery. They produce some of the best Traditional European style crusty bread I have tasted in America. The best thing since sliced bread...
I walked into LA Bakery for the first time a few weeks ago. Everything in this joint looks amazing. I couldnt decide what to get. I opted for a brioche and a blueberry cardamom muffin cake. The brioche was soft and fresh with great flavour and the blueberries and cardamom where a welcome and refreshing combination that Ive not seen at other bakeries. Ive since been back for breakfast. The French toast filled with cream cheese is a must have. Strong coffee. Good service. Im just happy there is a quality bakery with a passion for bread and good food in my neighbourhood. I highly recommend a visit.Slow service, greasy food, overpriced
It took over 20 minutes to receive a sandwich with no other customers present, and the order was wrong. The food was swimming in grease, which seemed to be the only flavoring agent.HORRIBLE FOOD!!!
Have to TOTALLY agree with previous post - the service here is SOOOO slow and RUDE... The food however isn't exactly swimming in grease - IT'S ALREADY DROWNED IN IT!! We never even got everything we ordered!! We had taken out of town family from Austria who had never been to LA before and were horribly embarrassed but the lack of quality!! The food was so bad that we didn't bother with the desert and coffee and just left vowing NEVER to return again!!great place, awesome food
i live in atwater village and recently found out about la bread. me and my wife enjoy going because its a no hassle place, you order at the counter and they run the food. the quality is excellent never had a problem. as a restaurant owner in LA myself, it pains me to see people blast a place.... the last reviewer said they ordered a sandwich and said it was sitting in a pool of grease... does that make any sense... not to me. we'll in the long run to each there own, but to me this place is a winner....Worldwide > United States > Los Angeles, CA > Restaurants
