Bar Carlo is open for dinner!

Bar Carlo is now open for dinner!

In addition to their popular breakfast and brunch, Bar Carlo recently added a full bar, adjoining gameroom and opened the restaurant for dinner. They have beer, wine, cocktails and a late night menu.

Bar Carlo has terribly bad/rude service

Terrible terrible service.

I know that you can't please everyone, and that lots of people are completely unrealistic about service, but Bar Carlo's service is TERRIBLE. The food is impressively slow (even when the restaurant is empty), and if you bring it up with the staff they will be rude an uncooperative. My last meal took over an hour to receive on a slow night, and I was told word for word by the waitress that because I was a regular that I should know the service is slow here. OK. Now I know, and I am never coming back.

Service fine for me!

(I haven't had any problems with service, maybe that was an old problem?) Food is better than many breakfast spots, but not the best (Portland is the Queen of Brunch, it is hard to be the best here). Eggs benedict highly recommended! Full bar, children welcome.

call before going in the p.m.

the food is good, a great breakfast spot. the evening hours seem erratic and change frequently. Call before trying to go for drinks/dinner.

Good food, good people, good drinks, good music

We love Bar Carlos because the food is great and their is a large room attached the restaurant with couches and pool tables. You can have a drink and relax while you wait for your table and then eat amazing food. Sunday brunch is our favorite, especially the bennedict and the plato flaco. Happy hour is also wonderful. The staff are excellent and very laid back. It is always enjoyable whether we have our toddler with us or we go for some couple time!
