The Big Easy's Very Best
My husband and I travel all around the world. We have stayed in many, many B & B's. Joe and Bebe and the Avenue Inn are right at the top of our list in every way. Gorgeous accommodations (I need a handicap accessible room and there's is beautiful); divine location...close enough to everything, but without the noise and crowds...and staff is there when you want them and not when you don't! If you are going to New Orleans and want a true "Easy" experience...this is the place! The place to stay in the Crescent City
Avenue Inn is the place, great innkeepers, great location, fantastic rooms, great location, streetcar right out front, and on the parade route!!! You will love as much as we do.My favorite place to stay in N.O.
As a Tulane alum, I try to visit New Orleans at least once a year. I've lost track of how many times that I have stayed at the Avenue Inn B&B, but it is my "go to" place in the city. To me, the location is ideal (the edge of the Garden District and Uptown), right on the stret car line, and no more than 10 minutes in any direction to get to most places that I want to frequent (FQ, Tulane, Audubon Park/Zoo, restaurants, clubs, shopping, etc.). The rooms, all diffferent, are very comfortable. I could not imagine more accomodating or helpful innkeepers.True Southern Charm
The location was great and the owners were very nice. They were up on all the locations and facts I needed to know to make my trip a winner.Loved the Avenue Inn B&B
Loved staying at this historic inn hosted by Joe and Bebe. We've stayed at many other places (hotels and B&B's) in New Orleans and this one is top-notch. We ate our breakfast every morning out on the patio and watched the streetcar go by. Don't book anywhere else!3rd Time Back - Still Great!
If your going to visit a historic and rich city like New Orleans you not only want a "local place" to stay but people who can really help you make the most of your trip. Staying at The Avenue Inn is the perfect place for my wife and I...so much so that we've stayed there on a third trip to New Orleans! Charming, clean and homey. Best of all, the proprietors are helpful, funny and really know this town. The B&B is large so you feel more like you're staying in an upscale boarding house from the turn of the century. The neighborhood location is perfect and the rooms are just so friendly and unique. I usually go for business and take my wife for an extra day or two of fun in New Orleans. We can't wait to stay a fourth time...A Very Special Place in a Very Special City
Avenue Inn Bed and Breakfast is a very special place in a very special city. It continues to be a "must" for our family in our frequent visits to New Orleans. Our most recent stay was in May 2010. In the four years we've been staying there -- one of the only courageous inns to open post-Katrina almost 5 years ago when our son wanted to visit Tulane University -- the service always is efficient and kind. Even after all these years, we were still greeted with a delicious home-baked still-warm cookie. Everything was, as always, in order so that we could get right to our room after heavy travel. And the rooms each one is light, airy and beautiful. Joe and Bebe Rabahn really care about their guests. To us, they are like family. That is how you feel when you arrive and when you leave. That is why we and so many others always come back.Amazing Stay
Conveniently located a street car ride away from the French Quarter, the Avenue Inn B&B is also close to Magazine Str shops and restaurants. Joe and Bebe, the owners, went the extra mile to provide great restaurant and sightseeing recommendations. A great experience. We will be back! This Place Is Awesome!!!
The hosts, Joe and Bebe and their home are all first class. You will absolutely enjoy your stay at the Avenue Inn.Don't hesitate.
What a wonderful B&B. Joe and Bebe were so helpful. It is on the streetcar line, so getting around was easy and fun. Room was large, beds extremely comfortable, inn was quiet, breakfast choices were many. Felt safe. Will stay there again. The best of New Orleans on our first visit.
Talk about luck! Our first visit to New Orleans, and we found the best bargain in town. The Avenue Inn Bed and Breakfast has it all: location, beauty, comfort, excellent professional standards, outstanding service, all for an affordable price. We came to New Orleans because our granddaughter had been accepted to Tulane University and needed to visit the school before making a decision. Finding the Avenue Inn on the Tulane University website, I chose it because it was close to the school and reasonably priced. What a lovely surprise! Bebe and Joe welcome you into their elegant home with genuine Southern hospitality and tell you that their first rule is that you have a great time in New Orleans. Well, they certainly succeeded with us. Each day as we explored New Orleans, we were delighted to return to the lovely tranquility of the Avenue Inn and the architectural beauty of the Garden District, remarking over and over how thankful we were not to be staying at an impersonal hotel in the French Quarter. Getting around was easy with the streetcar right outside the front door, and Joe and Bebe were so helpful with suggestions of things to see and do, places to eat. You don't need a guidebook at the Avenue Inn! Thanks to them, we had a wide variety of experiences during our four-day visit. We hope that our granddaughter does choose Tulane so that we can return often, and it will be to the Avenue Inn.Charming hosts and a lovely period home
Joe and Bebe are most gracious and charming hosts and the inn itself is lovely, over 100 years old, carefully maintained, and filled with lovely antique/period furniture. The breakfast is wonderful with fresh home baked goods and nice variety. Snacks are available 24 hours and the free off street parking is a real bonus. The inn is right on the St. Charles Avenue street car line so there is easy access to the French Quarter as well as NOLA's many other attractions. Joe and Bebe really do go out of their way to ensure that their guests are happy and comfortable and we would definitely stay with them again and again.Worldwide > United States > New Orleans, LA > Hotels
