Very accomodating!

Mike Poulos and Reed are great--both were willing to go the extra mile to make me feel comfortable and even picked up the keys to my new apartment which I then picked up later on since i couldn't get to the super in time on friday....

Great Service!

Reed was extremely helpful when I was searching for my new apartment. He told me that he had a great apartment in my price range and even though it was only the 2nd place I had looked at, I took it! I was approved in one day and Reed...

Wonderful experience with Apuzzi Realty!

I found an ad on craigslist for an apartment in Midtown East. I emailed the person who wrote the ad, Reed, and asked if I could see the apartment immediately. He met me there just 20 minutes later. I loved the apartment and wanted to show it to my roommate. I asked Reed if he'd be willing to show it again later that evening. He didn't mind at all!

We filled out the application the following morning. There was a $300 application fee- $150 per person. He was excellent about communicating with us and updating us on what was going on. We signed a lease two days later. The lease signing was very simple.

Reed was very accessible, friendly, and straightforward. He made this process so easy for us. We spent over a month searching for an apartment. I found Reed to be the most attentive and helpful agent I met in Manhattan. He was very clear about everything (application, lease, etc.) and I felt very comfortable going through this process because of him.

I highly highly recommend Apuzzi Realty because of this experience. I now live in my first apartment in Manhattan. I found the process to be harder than I had anticipated, but once I found this apartment with Apuzzi Realty, everything became much simpler. I would definitely definitely work with this agency again!

not so good!

I saw a post on craigslist about an apt and I called. Reed returned my call in a prompt manner and was able to show the apt the same evening. We fall in love with the apt as soon as we saw. It was a little bit above our budget but we were willing to pay it. We filled out the application and payed the application fee ($200 in total) until then everything was perfect. After that we didn;t know where we were. We were supposed to have the apt for the 15 of nov because we started the process Oct 28. After calling then constantly, sending every document they asked for 2 1/2 weeks after they told me I wasn't approved and they didn't know why. Some people would say that may be i didn't meet the requirements but if that was the case I think they didn't need to wait 2 1/2 weeks to tell me that, and because every time they asked for a new paper he would say " this is a good sign, this means they will approved you. I just regret that I wasted almost 3 weeks for my search because they didn't find the time to talk straight up to me or give me a reasonable reason for not calling back or what was wrong with the application. I just think it was a waste of time and that they were not honest with me..

We couldn't have found a better broker than Jeff!

I have dealt with many brokers since I moved to NYC, and most of them were out to make a quick buck and never really listened to what I needed or they just didn't care. Not so with Jeff Nach! We were in a tricky situation, waiting for someone to take our lease before we could move to a new apartment, and Jeff was patient and willing to help us out. He never rushed or pressured us to make a hasty decision. He is truly a wonderful human being who is there to help you. If we ever move again or know anyone who is moving, Jeff gets our highest recommendation! Thank you Jeff!!!

not a great experience, but found a great place in the end

So, firstly, I'm a real person - I know it's suspicious when an account only has 1 review and no profile, but I signed up specifically to write this review - I'm usually a Yelp-er.

I had a mixed experience with Apuzzi. I didn't feel great about the process at many points, but it did end with me in an apartment that I really like. Go ahead and use them and you may find a nice place, but be prepared to be informed and aggressive - true of most brokers, honestly.

I called Reed, an Apuzzi broker, from a Craigslist ad. He couldn't show me the place listed online (strike 1) but offered to show me another. I liked it and decided to sign. Reed was very friendly and professional throughout the process, and he came to my office to bring me the application. There was a $150 fee for both me and my guarantor (strike 2). Then he called the next day to say that the place was $100 more per month than he had originally told me - AFTER I paid $300 in application fees (BIG strike 3). I managed to bargain them down to $25 above the original price and they wouldn't budge any further from there. My mother (my guarantor) called to talk to Steven Apuzzi, the owner of Apuzzi Realty, and he was very rude to her. I met him when I went to sign the lease and he was friendly, but came off as sleazy. I got him to agree to refund one of the $150 application fees because of the higher price, but it took several reminders to get him to actually send me the check. He also took forever to let me know when I could actually move in, which made reserving a U-Haul tricky. Reed met me to let me into the apartment to measure before moving in, which was nice. But I asked him to ensure that several repairs were done before I moved in, and only about half of them were by my move-in date.

All of that said, I'm now in apartment that I like a lot and that is very reasonably priced, and I didn't have to pay Apuzzi a broker's fee. I think they just pulled the same crap that most cheap/no-fee brokers do, so they're probably not much worse than any others. You may find a great, cheap place through them, and Reed was an excellent broker (none of my issues were with him), but do your research and be prepared to haggle.

Jeff Makes Things Happen

After seeing an ad on Craigslist for an apartment, I gave Jeff a call and got called back immediately. Was able to work around our very busy schedules to show me and my roomates an apartment in Washington Heights. Seemed like he was available 24/7 which could be the main reason why we got the apartment. We were very indecisive, but he did everything he could working with the landlords to get this apartment for us. Honestly without Jeff, I feel like I wouldve been apartment hunting for months, instead it took me only a week!

Jeff cooks it for ya!

I spent hours in front of the computer looking through Craiglist for an aptmnt until I found Jeff's add and all it took was for him to show me one apt and that was it. I gave Jeff everything he asked for but a copy of my pays stub. on the same day I received a call from him telling me about my credit scores which i thought it wasn't going to be great but it was enough for Jeff. Without his help I don't really think I would have gotten this apt. I got a called from Jeff telling me I got the apt and just this afternoon I signed my leased(less than a week baby!), he explained everything to me with calm and professionalism. Thank you Jeff I really appreciate your help.

If you really want to get an apt Jeff is the way to go. I promise you if you deal with him your seaching is done.

Great Experience! Reliable, Friendly, and Helpful

I needed to find an apartment quickly, and was having difficulty with some of the people showing apartments who were late to follow up on my inquiries, misrepresented the quality and availability of their advertised apartments, and failed to show up for pre-arranged appointments. After I expressed interest in an apt, Reed called me right away and was able to set up an appointment to meet with me the next morning. He was prompt, friendly, and flexible about my scheduling constraints. Everything from signing the lease to picking up my keys was simple and fast. I'm happily settled into my apartment now, and am thankful that everything about the process was much easier than I expected. I absolutely recommend Apuzzi Realty, and specifically Reed, for any real estate need in the city - I will definitely go to them again in the future!!

Pleasure to work with!

After getting dragged around the city with unfriendly brokers and misguided apartment listings, I was lucky enough to connect with Reed Wrisley from Apuzzi Real Estate.
It was refreshing to have a friendly agent show me a place and seem like he genuinely cared about my needs in finding a place. Reed and the company worked with my situation with ease and confidence where previous brokers had made me feel inferior or hopeless in my search in finding the perfect home. I am not an official New York resident and couldn't have completed this process without the help of Reed. THANK YOU!

Reed Wrisley

Reed Wrisley with Apuzzi Reality (Apuzzi Reality) helped me to find my apartment in Chelsea New York. Reed is courteous, professional, on-time and is genuinely concerned about my best interests. A client may trust Reeds professionalism; a quality sometimes hard to find with many Real Estate Salespersons within New York. I highly recommend him.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH STEVEN APUZZI REALTY

Everything that all these glowing reviews say about Jeff Natch is true. He is a lovely man and an excellent Realtor. But it's not worth it to work with him because his boss, Steven Apuzzi, is a first class jerk, and a crook.

Here's what happened - We saw an apartment on craig's list, and called Jeff. Saw the apartment, liked it, submitted an application and guarantor, were approved. We signed the lease and gave Jeff first and last months rent and his fee in the form of cashier's checks. He gave us a receipt. End of story, right?

The next day, I got a call from a branch of my bank. Someone had found one of my cashier's checks on the street. I called Jeff and he told me that Steven had lost our checks. LITERALLY DROPPED OUR MONEY ON THE STREET in midtown east.

The thing about cashier's checks is, they are basically cash. You can't cancel them. You can't get the money back unless no one cashes them after three months. So I called Steven, I told him that while legally, we had paid him and had a receipt and were under no obligation to pay him again, we were nice folks and would be happy to give him the check that was found. We would also be happy to sign something saying that we would re-issue him the second check in three months when we got the money back if no one cashed it. In the meantime, he would need to pay the landlord and get us into the apartment, as he was legally obligated to do.

He freaked out and YELLED AT ME FOR TEN MINUTES and called me some pretty nasty things. He threatened to rip up our lease and checks, and rent the apartment to someone else, which is of course, ILLEGAL. He then hung up on me.

It was only after several more rounds of extremely unpleasant, angry phone calls and after we threatened to go straight to the landlord and present our lease and receipt (leaving him out the entire amount and probably losing him his contract with that landlord), to lodge a complaint with the Realtor's association, and to sue him, that he finally decided to "be a nice guy" and sleazily proposed to do exactly what we suggested all along.

Jeff Natch is a sweet guy, and an excellent Realtor. But his boss, Steven Apuzzi, is NOT TO BE TRUSTED. He is a mean, lying, unethical, unprofessional jerk, and you should NOT TAKE THE RISK OF DOING BUSINESS WITH HIM.

Reed Wrisley

These guys were great. I had been looking around for apartments and every Realtor I came across was very aggressive, to the point where I felt some people were trying to bully me into renting. Reed was casual, friendly, and very responsive. He was the first Realtor I worked with that I thought was genuine and honest in response to my questions and concerns. Reed is now the first person I think to go to for renting and have referred my friends to him as well.

Great Experience!

I used to work in Real Estate for one of the bigger agencies in the city so I am familiar with the process of looking for an apartment. I worked with Reed and Steve and they were both professional and a pleasure to work with. I was approved for the apt the same day and signed the lease 2 days later.

I read some of these reviews and understand not everything goes smooth during a transaction but mine was simple, fast and easy. The way I see it is there are always two sides to the story...I had some great reviews and some not so great reviews due to people getting declined by management groups yet they think it was my fault.

Anyways, I will recommend them to friends in the future. Reed asked me to write an honest review about the company, I really had an easy apt search with him and would use this Broker again in the future. Work with them and base your experience on how your apt search went with them, not necessarily a few bad reviews here and there..Thanks for your help!
